Who drives your Life?

You…no one else drives your life.

If you will remember and believe in this you can start anew and start manifesting whatever you choose to will.

You are responsible for what you see, feel and think

You will experience whatever you choose.

Do not blame God. He gave you freewill and loves you.

When you live from your ego and not your spirit, the world you see is not the world of God.

He did not create this insane world.

His world, and you in it are always safe and perfect.

Everything that seems to “happen” to you is something you chose…good or bad.

Take control of your life. Get out of the passenger seat and into the driver’s seat.

How do we break our egos hold on our life?

To break the hold of our ego over our life; our actions and beliefs. we need to first look at our ego without judgment. Our individual egos are a fragmented erroneous belief, within mind.

We believe we are our egos, but we are not. Consider this: when we look without judgment and guilt at our individual egos in action, then who is doing the looking? It cannot be the ego itself, but the mind — or better, the decision maker in our mind The viewer is then looking at the ego. Then you realize there are two voices within. One real and one unreal. The following passage from the Course provides a clear description of this evaluation and looking process and how central it is to the practice of the Course:

No one can escape from illusions (ego) unless he looks at them, for not looking is the way they are protected. There is no need to shrink from illusions, for they cannot be dangerous. Let us be very calm in doing this, for we are merely looking honestly for truth. We must look first at our ego to see beyond it, since we have made it real. How else can one dispel illusions except by looking at them directly, without protecting them?

In this looking within we start realizing our ego is not who is looking at it. With that awakening we can then start breaking the egos hold over our life.

Definition ego: the belief in the reality of the separated or false self, made as substitute for the Self Which God created; the thought of separation that gives rise to sin, guilt, fear, and a thought system based on specialness to protect itself; the part of the mind that believes it is separate from the Mind of Christ; this split mind has two parts: wrong- and right-mindedness; almost always used to denote ” wrong-mindedness,” but can include the part of the split mind that can learn to choose right-mindedness.

(Note – not to be equated with the ” ego” of psychoanalysis, but can be roughly equated with the entire psyche, of which the psychoanalytic ” ego” is a part.)

The Message of A Course in Miracles

A Course in Miracles teaches us that to live in happiness we must choose between believing in sin or believing in forgiveness.

Between believing in death or believing in life.

And between believing in the voice of our ego or the voice of our Spirit within.

Jesus life, death, and resurrection states the course’s message clearly. Live in and teach only love, for that is what you are.”

It is the same message Moses presented when he said …I set before you life or death, blessing or curse. Choose life, then, so that you may live in love and peace.

The Course shows us how to choose peace and joy, and to live and teach the message of love the world has forgotten.

The purpose of the Course is to bring a different dream come into the world: in place of the ego’s belief of separation and pain; It brings forgiveness and love.

Simply put a Course in Miracles will change your life for the better !

You will learn to separate the voice of your ego from the voice of the one Universe

You will forgive yourself, your past, and others and live in peace and love; not in separation and fear.

You will uncover your true self

You will l learn to let go, through forgiveness, your belief in the reality of your separation from God, the Universe.

You will unlearn all of those things of the ego which interfere with your recognition of who you are and always have been

You will live in the moment, in the now.

You will no longer regret the past or fear the future

What is a Social Entrepreneur?

People ask me what is this new term Social Entrepreneur. Being one myself having founded a regular entrepreneur business and a socially responsible one Green Pets America I find this definition by Martin & Osberg right on point.

Social Entrepreneurship:

Defined as - ”Someone who targets an unfortunate but stable equilibrium that causes the neglect, marginalization, or suffering of a segment of humanity; who brings to bear on this situation his or her inspiration, direct action, creativity, courage, and fortitude; and who aims for and ultimately affects the establishment of a new stable equilibrium that secures permanent benefit for the targeted group and society at large,”

“Social Entrepreneurship: The Case for Definition.”

Mid Life Crisis…or transformation?

I read wonderful words the other day from a fellow Tao teacher. It was about both men and women going through a mid-life crisis… or mid-life awakening, as I prefer to call it.

It seems we consider it only from the ugly side… the hot sports cars, broken marriages, alcohol, drugs, self-doubt, self loathing and childish self-centered behaviors.

There is however a positive, creative, and more life affirming side to this believed crisis.

Especially if we consider it from the spiritual.

From the spiritual side, the believed crisis should be viewed, not as a problem, but as a prelude to a possible life changing, positive transformation.

If we can shift our thought from mid-life crisis – to mid-life transformation, or mid-life awakening we open up a whole new positive, and enlightened vista to view these happenings.

Rather than one single transformation I feel my whole life has been one of continual transformation.

Some years the transformations were easy, sometimes very hard…but positive transformations none the less.

I like to vision that we are all our own Michelangelo’s sculpting our own personal David’s.

We start out mostly un-formed, and each year we sculpt, cut, refine and perfect.

This past 10 years my own transformation and sculpting has been severe.

A few times the cuts were deep, once literally and almost fatal: but now on reflection they were needed to reveal my inner soul, character and purpose in life.

If you are going thru some deep sculpting right now, don’t loose hope…please keep my personal experiences in mind.

The deepest cuts in the end unveil the most beautiful and meaningful changes.

A new Consciousness for mankind

Despite all of our progress through the ages, and all of our knowledge, mankind still has deep within him a feeling that there is something more… something behind the curtain, something higher, and something yet missing in his life. We have this vague shadowy longing for something …not knowing what it is but knowing although it is in our heart it is not yet fully in our life.

We sense at times a strong stirring deep within us, an almost primordial drive for a greater truth. Yet despite all of our progress and accomplishments: Nations are still at war with one another, prejudices rule our lives, people are still weary, sick, in poverty, and living in fear. In spite of man’s apparent advances in science he continues to suffer greatly, and death of the body seems our only end.

And every generation still asks why? Through out the ages answering the prayers pleading question “Why” has led us on our great search for truth, happiness, peace, meaning and calmness of mind and of spirit.

We have pushed forward despite a heavy heart, searching for answers outside of us… only to be left empty, or worse…disillusioned.

We ask God why are we suffering, why were we sent here if our peace is to be in heaven and not of this earth?

Man has sought answers from religion, from governments, from science. The answers prove false, and their words ring hollow… the world still suffers, and mans question…why? is still unanswered.

Finally however an awakening in mankind has occurred, and what was never lost has been found…the day that has always been with us has dawned….and a consciousness that has always been within us has arrived. Our perceived need to suffer is ending. Our belief in a dual nature is being proved false. A belief in limits is ending.

Our ability to create our life through right ideas, and thoughts is becoming aware to a few… and soon to be many. Let us share that awakening together.

What do you see in your future?

At Ideas-Institute we believe that our thoughts create our world. What we think each day is who we are.

We know a new awakening in mankind has occurred, and what was never lost has been found…the day we though would never come has always been with us has dawned…and a higher consciousness that has always been within us is now making itself known.

I study weekly the Tao Te Ching…the 2500 year old oriental book on how to live your life in harmony with nature, and all creation.

One of the most famous verses that resonates with even those not familiar with the tao is.

”A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”

I am always amazed at how people want to live life… yet are fearful to actually let go… and let life happen.

They believe that they are in control when they clutch tight to things and beliefs.

If they only knew how amazing life would be if they would just…”let go” and let the journey flow on its own.

Take that first step today… let your amazing journey begin.

Be your life’s maker and observer !
